Purchase of Refreshments, Sundries, etc.

Food and Refreshments (coffee, donuts, drinks, etc.) may not be purchased with State funds.

Such purchases may be allowed, however, against certain Grant, Contract or Trust funds, or discretionary accounts, providing the funding agency will not disallow the expenditure.

All commercially prepared food (with certain exceptions) must be prepared by the food service company under contract to the University. Hereinafter referred to as the food service vendor. See Food Service Policy #71

Off campus events such as conferences at hotels, recruitment events, and other University sponsored functions requiring refreshments will not be subject to the University bidding process.
